The week is upon us where many prepare for the holiest time of the year-the Super Bowl. What better way to serve your guests some great eats that aren’t ordered in. Your stomachs and your wallet will thank you! Here we share some of our #FoodieFriday favourite Super Bowl party food recipes from our Toronto Banquet Hall, to get you geared up and game day ready.
Buffalo Cauliflower Bites
- 2 cups cauliflower florets
- ¾ cup water
- ¾ cup all purpose flour
- 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
- ¾ cup hot sauce (Frank’s works particularly well!)
- 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.
Combine the water, flour, and garlic powder in a bowl and stir.
Lightly toss the cauliflower pieces with the flour mixture to coat. Spread evenly on the baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
As the cauliflower bakes, combine the hot sauce and butter in a bowl.
Remove the cauliflower from the baking sheet, and toss in the hot sauce mix.
Return to oven for 5 minutes. For an extra bonus, serve with celery sticks and low fat bleu cheese!
Mini Pizza Bites
- 4 miniature bagels, cut in half, or you can use English muffins, or pre made dough
- 1 can of spaghetti sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Toppings: you can be creative with whatever you like on your pizza!
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Arrange bagels cut side up on a baking sheet.
Spead each with spaghetti sauce, cheese and desired toppings. Sprinkle a pinch of oregano on each.
Bake for 7-10 minutes.
- Chocolate * if you want it thicker, just add milk or creamer!
- Pretzels, strawberries and anything else dip-able!
Melt chocolate in a double boiler over low heat and stir constantly.
Dip pretzel/strawberry one at a time while chocolate is still warm.
Place items on wax paper to cool.
